Check out this site http://www.selfpublishing.com and self publishing is harder to market and promote. If you hire a publicist or consultant, he/she can assist you in that area, but if you decide to do all of it by yourself, then you should find a traditional or well known publisher. If I were you I will stay away from high priced and vanity publishers. Check forum postings.
