I'm also in the process of completing my debut novel...........I need to know the REAL, how to keep your readers thirsty for more and when to end a story....I don't want the same old, "We drove off into the sunrise"(yeah right!) or "She was shot in the head" ending, I want them to demand answers, thus sparking the requests for a part two...HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I'm seeking to self-publish. I went through a supportive self-publishing company with my first book. This time I think I want to do the entire process myself in order to retain more control and profits. I'll have to research it a little more. Can you tell me the difference between an agent and a publicist?
