Poster Kraze is having great success with "44th" the Commemorative Edition. Recently the Baltimore Public School System picked up our book for its libraries and social studies courses. We are now negotiating with several other school districts around the country with hopes of making inroads to their classrooms.
Within the next few weeks I will be displaying my book at the National Congress of Black Women's unveiling of the Sojourner Truth Monument (D.C.), the National Council on Educating Black Children's book fair (Baltimore), the American Book Expo in New York and the American Library Association Convention in Chicago. These exhibitor spaces run between $800 and $6,500 per booth. Expected attendance for these conferences will reach 100,000 + targeted (purchasing) visitors representing Libraries, Schools and Universities, retail chains likes Borders, Books a Million, Barnes & Noble, national publishers plus numerous independent book retailers. Additionally some events will invite the general public and retail buyers. Below are links to some of the conventions' websites.
I would like to gather a contingency of thirty self-published authors to join my company (co-op) and help defray the cost of these shows. Each author would pay $300 for one book plus $50 per book thereafter. Along with your payment I would need twelve sample copies of your book, a biography and color portrait of yourself. Additionally I would need to be able to purchase your book(s) at 60% off the retail price. All purchases would be on a cash in advance basis, (not consignment like other distributors), predicated on orders taken at these conventions.
Perhaps you would be interested in joining me. This could be an excellent opportunity for all involved.
If you like to write, this is the right place for you!
