CHRISTIAN THRILLS US ONCE AGAIN!

Leaving us on one hell of a cliff hanger with The Black College Sabbatical - FALL QUARTER, Christian thrills us once again with the release of WINTER QUARTER. The saga continues with the crew Kyla, Cee-Cee, Tina and Ananda all arriving back at Heritage State University to initiate their second quarter of the Black College experience. It has been said that what goes on in the dark shall surley be exposed in the light! The WINTER QUARTER is filled with plenty of shady actions being exposed!

Characters in the quad that were considered to be weak in the FALL QUARTER have now become strong. Couples, such as Tina and Eric keep throwing us curve balls! The new love in Cee-Cee's life totally blew me away! Lastly, that self-centered Kayla, the elder sister of Kyla finally gets a dose of her own medicine! Christian, keep on writing and bringing the excitement back to fictional reading!

DARK REVELATIONS

What I feel is often revealed in the way I sigh
When hurt starts to commence…I have to real defense against my lack of pretense
No matter how hard I try.

What I feel is often revealed in the way I move
When pain is all my heart has gained…My every motion makes my world more insane
No matter the game…I seem to always lose.

What I feel is often revealed in the way I look
When sadness seems to consume every dark room…in my soul I lose all control
It’s like the stillness of my world has been shook… Continue

Writing Sample - Lost or Found? A Lesson in Hip Hop (Please Give Feedback on content & writing style!)

Many argue that the genre we’ve all come to know as Hip-hop has lost its way. What do they mean? They mean that hip-hop has moved away from the heartfelt fire that fueled the desire to lay a foundation that would give voice to urban culture. It has moved away from the fun of the everyday, fan fare-free street battles and into the lifestyles of the deeply dangerous. Moved away from love songs with a hard bass line to the ebonically challenged toe-tapers that glorify the art of rump shakin’. Moved… Continue

Hi Tracie

Isn't good to know that God has no dry seasons! Our sense of purpose is what drives us and keeps us motivated. My passion for what I am called to do is a continuous source of inspiration. I agree that it seems that when we're all tapped out, God seems to send that right person or opportunity to get us back in the drivers seat. That's why I wanted to be a part of this community. I needed to hear how other people are handling their assignment. I know what I am hear to do so I just keep going. But, I would be lying if I said I never have an off day, especially when it seems all of the resources I need to move my dream forward are lagging behind. I thank God that I have the experience of seeing God make a way out of now way, that I am able to press forward. In addition to being a writer, I am also an inspirational speaker and I come in contact with a lot of people who have never seen God work and they are hopeless and feel stuck in life. Somehow God anoints me to be able to encourage them inspite of their difficult journey. I remind them to stay positive and to surround themselves with motivated people who can support their vision. That's a little more for people who have not seen any success in their lives. Just wanted to throw the question out there because people are really looking for answers. Thanks for your comments.

Love this. looks like we're all busy and that's a good thing. Hope you got a chance to see "Trouble the Water" on HBO. Powerful. I've got a book I'm writing about Hurricane Katrina. I've got some music to write also. I'll talk later. I'm so happy to be your friend and I think we can all help each other. To me, that's what life is. All we can really do is give back, because we don't take anything with us when we leave. Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day !!!
