A computer nerd with a penchant for fashion, popular culture, and virtual worlds, Lyn Valerie is a professional writer with big dreams of national publication. A lifelong student, Lyn Valerie has always dreamed of seeing her name in bookstores across the country, and realized part of her goal while working as Assistant Editor for her college’s newspaper, writing a controversial column a la Sex and the City.
Given years of practical experience writing technical publications for small and large businesses and non-profits through her stint as an administrative professional, coupled with a persistent urge to share her story and other thoughts that float around in her head, Lyn Valerie has finally decided to give her fate to the writing gods; this blog serves as testament to such, and also perhaps a medium through which to display her ability to procrastinate on her novels.
Do you have any published books:
I do not currently have any books published, but I am working on a few that have been floating around in my head.
Why did you join this group?
I am seeking a writing mentor, and would also like to meet and befriend other authors.

For the year 2009, for everyone that leaves a full message on our Guestbook at the end of our website with your First and Last Name, telling us how you personally feel about Child Abuse, we will showcase you on the Honorable Mentions Page on our website, and place a link to your business – regardless of what it is, on our website, which gets over 200 hits a day.
We are doing this because in leaving your message on our Guestbook, you are showing us that you are working as hard as we are to save the lives of our African American Children - and therefore you deserve this much. Keep in mind that we are interested in reading your own "Personal" feelings about this Epidemic. We look forward to reading your words on our Guestbook. (Be sure to turn up your Speakers – there is R&B Music on every page!)
I, and the Children who manage to survive this Epidemic, will
never be able to thank you enough.

Thank you, Lyn Valerie, for introducing yourself to me via Black Writers Connect. I'm happy to be your friend. I don't know whether you're a sports fan, but I'm looking forward to watching the sisters Venus & Serena Williams play each other in the Wimbledon tennis final, July 5, 9am, NBC. I interviewed both sisters for my book, Charging the Net. They're wonderful.
