- I have been writing for over 15 years but I am not trying to get my books published. I have completed one and have 5 more books to complete and I am brainstorming at least four more books. I LOVE to read and write and I also do poetry at a poetry club almost every Tuesday.

- I am in the process of trying to self-publish my first book
- Why did you join this group?
- I would like to join the group because I want to meet people who share the same interest in what I do and to also get some needed adivce since it is my first book. I would especially like to meet editors, publishers and self published authors

Poem: Hair!!!
I screamed
And as the words fell out my mouth
I took it back
Because I immediately though of those cancer patients
Who had no hair to complain about
So I decided to stop the straigheners
Stop the blow dryers and the curling iron and the rollers
All the things that made me not what I really am
And instead I grew locks
Dread, Natty Dread
Whatever you want to call it
But I call it natural hair

Before you are changed
I dream of you every day
I see you are hurting
I see the faces of grief, anger and sorrow
